Elizabeth “Betty” Gubitoso, 81 of Bound Brook, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Green Knoll Care Center, Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Born in the Hilldale section of Plains, she was the daughter of the late Spartico and Margaret (Haggerty) Leonardi.

She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, class of 1950  and was a homemaker all of her life.  Betty lived more than 50 years in Bound Brook, New Jersey.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Gubitoso on August 12, 1985, brother Gene Leonardi on October 26, 2002, and her sister Shirley Leonardi on December 1, 2006.

Surviving are her sons Michael Gubitoso and his wife Tracey, Duluth, GA, Floyd Gubitoso and his wife Donna, Dacula, GA, daughter Tara Miller and her husband Jerry, Middlesex, NJ, grandchildren Nicholas, Christopher, Emily, Brendan, Justin, and Casey, brother Robert Leonardi, Kingston, sisters Sadie Mancini and her husband Gene “Pepa”, Plains, and Jacqueline Atcavage, Wilkes-Barre, Twp., several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Betty will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the chapel of Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming, followed by interment.  Friends may call Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street  Plains, PA  18705.
