Eleanor Czarnota, 83 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away July 2, 2019 at her home.

Eleanor was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late William V. and Hedwig M. (Boczar) Czarnota.

She was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre and was employed as a loan officer at First Eastern Bank until her retirement. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Czernota and Mildred Czarnota, brothers John & Joseph Czernota, and Stanley and Peter Czarnota.

Surviving are her brother Richard Czarnota, Williamson, Georgia, nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with interment in Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Plains.
