Eleanor A. Verfin, 86 of Forty Fort, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late George & Anna (Petras) Malast.

Eleanor was a graduate of Larksville High School, and was a homemaker all of her life.  Eleanor was well known for her crafts, her skills as an artist, a painter and a seamstress.  She was one of the Original American Collectors and loved to go fishing with her husband Joseph.

She was preceded in death by her brother George Malast and her sister Marie Zofcin.

Surviving are her husband of 34 years Joseph Verfin, Forty Fort,  children Cindy Johnson and her husband Bill, Leroy, Michigan, Leonard Jacobs and his companion Sharon, Easley, SC, and Paul Jacobs and his companion Mary, Inman, SC, 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street  Plains, PA  18705.
