I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr.James Bruno. He was not just a physician, he was a very caring and compassionate man. There will definitely be a huge void in this valley.I am a nurse and had dealt with him on a professional and personal basis when I had a very ill parent and he went above and beyond to help. May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences, Barbara and family. Dr Bruno was a wonderful teacher and mentor. There's not a day that goes by in my own practice that I don't think about some piece of wisdom he shared.

Dear Bruno Family, My deepest sympathy on the passing of Dr. Bruno. He was an awesome man and doctor. He was my Family Doctor since I was 18, now 57, and he will be hard to replace. He always had that "extra time" to spend at appointments, discussing our latest readings (books) and when I was in the hospital always tapping my bedside if I was asleep to wake me when he was there. We even discussed The Twilight Zone episode that was on the TV! I loved to make him laugh...with his unique deep voice. May God rest his soul and give you all comfort as well. Sincerely, Mary Rucco

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. Bruno. He took care of my mother for almost as long as he was in practice, he was so kind and patient with her, especially as she developed Alzheimer’s. He will certainly be missed by so many people in the valley. Condolences go out to Mrs. Bruno, his children and grandchildren, and the rest of his family.

As a pharmaceutical sales representative I called on Dr. Bruno for many years. Having met hundreds of physicians over 40 years in four geographical locations I can honestly say he was one of the most genuine, kind and caring of them all. My deepest sympathies to the family.

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Dr. Bruno was a wonderful man and doctor. Because of his care and concern, we had 11 more years with my mother than would have without his care. He took great care of his patients. He will be deeply missed.

I have known Jim since I started working at Geisinger's Emergency Department in 1983. During that time I have had many conversations with him, both professionally about his patients and socially as a friend. He was always caring and compassionate. His soft spoken tone always added insight into his patients and many facets of life. He was a credit to his profession. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and heaven will be a better place because of him. With heartfelt sympathy, Gary Batok, M.D.

I have worked with Dr Bruno for almost 12 years. I am out of town and will not be able to be at his funeral and wanted to share my thoughts. He was a wonderful doctor and a good man. He had a good heart. He was the one who was there for me when I had a TIA right there in the office while I was working, and I will be eternally grateful to him for the care he gave me. He would do things like offer 5 bucks to anyone who could tell him what brand of toilet paper was in the bathroom...always joking around. He had so much to give to others and is gone too soon. Apparently God has something better planned for him. He was loved by so many and has touched so many lives. I know our office will not be the same without him. There has been a great void since the beginning of his illness. I know I am going to miss him. I know he is at peace now, and I pray that your family can find some comfort in that. Terri Rule

Mrs Bruno and family, I'm heartbroken with the passing of Dr Bruno. He cared for both my parents, my sister, and myself for decades. He's been the only doctor I've had from young adulthood until now, and I'm 56. He was compassionate, warm, and brilliant. Though his office was always packed, he never hurried his patients along, instead listening patiently to each person's concerns.. He can never be replaced. I'm deeply sorry for your loss, he was one of a kind. Sincerely, Linda.Frame
