Dorothy Kobela, 83, of Hanover Township, passed away Thursday morning, April 16, 2015 at the inpatient unit of Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown Pa.

Dorothy was born in Hanover Township, the daughter of the late Jacob and Priscilla (Pietoch) Homa and was a graduate of Hanover High School.

Dorothy was a homemaker all her life and was a member of Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, in the Hanover section of Nanticoke.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank on June 25, 2013 and Brothers Joseph, John and Walter Homa.

Surviving are her sons Theodore (Ted) Kobela and Wife Geralyn, Allentown and Michael Kobela and his companion, Dr. Joyce Salomon, Boca Raton, Florida, grandson, Christopher Kobela, Northampton, nephews and nieces.

Funeral will be held Monday, April 20,2015 at 10:00 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in Holy Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, 240 Center Street, Hanover section of Nanticoke, with her Pastor, Father Volodymyr Popyk, celebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Townships.

Friends may call Sunday afternoon from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
