Donna L. McAdarra, 72 of Edwardsville, passed away Saturday morning, September 24, 2022 at The Gardens at East Mountain, Plains, PA.

Born June 6, 1950 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Margaret (Schaefer) George.

Donna was a graduate of Elmer L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1968, and Luzerne County Community College, earning her Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. She was employed at Equitable, the United States Post Office, S & W Restaurant, and as a clerk at the Area Agency on Aging.

Donna enjoyed going to Bazaar’s and Craft Shows with her sister Judy, was a Girl Scout Leader, was an avid reader and gardener, and her grandchildren were the Light of her Life.

She was preceded in death by her husband James P. McAdarra on March 23, 2016, son Joseph L. Spagnola, Jr. on June 4, 2006, and her sister Peggy George.

Surviving are her daughters Kelly McAdarra and her partner Chris Kuhar, Mountain top, and Jennifer Spagnola, Kingston, grandchildren Seana “Nicky” Spagnola and Nikolai Kuhar, sister Judith Schmid, Dallas, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Jude Parish, 420 South Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top, PA 18707. Those attending the funeral mass, please go directly to church Wednesday morning. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
