Dominick Answini passed away on January 7, 2022 in his home in West Wyoming, Pennsylvania surrounded by his family.

Dominick was born in the Keystone section of Plains Township on September 11, 1934. He was a son of the late Amerigo (Mack) Answini and Josephine Borocci Answini.

A graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1952, he entered the U.S. Navy and served aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Coral Sea. Dominick graduated from the Philadelphia Institute of Barbering and was a barber for 52 years in the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre before retiring in 2011.

Dominick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and jogging.

In addition to his parents, Dominick was preceded in death by his sisters, Florence O’Ravitz and Lillian Answini.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Gemma Vigo Answini; son, Dominick Answini and his wife, Betty Ciacchi, of New York City; and daughter Carla Answini Snook, and her husband James, of Rutland, VT. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Gemma Snook, Lucas Answini, and Danielle Snook and his sister Betty Stella.
