Dolores I. Salvatore, 91 of the Keystone section of Plains, passed away Saturday morning, February 17, 2018 at Kingston Health Care Center, with her family by her side.

Born in the Browntown section of Pittston Township, she was the daughter of the late August and Julia (Catani) Bocci.

Dolores was a graduate of West Pittston High School, class of 1944, and was a homemaker. Her passion in life was to care for her husband and her family, making each day as easy for them as possible. After raising her children, she poured herself into doting on her grandchildren, and she and her husband never missed a special occasion in their lives. Throughout her life, she devoted herself to caring for family members, friends, and neighbors, often by cooking meals, sewing, and always being there to lend a helping hand. She loved deeply and is deeply loved.

She was preceded in death by “The Love of her Life” for 68 years, Angelo Salvatore on May 17, 2016, brothers Angelo and Frank Stella, and Fernando Bocci, sisters Mary Fanti, Lena Galantini, Elizabeth Chiavacci, Ida Cardamone, and Rosemary Rosetti.

Surviving are her sons Angelo Salvatore and his wife Helen, Plains, Ronald Salvatore, West Pittston and his companion Debra Spittler, and daughter Sharon Smith and her husband Christopher, Dillsburg, PA, grandchildren, Brandon Salvatore and his wife Lauren, and Kyle and Jenna Smith; great-granddaughter Camryn Salvatore, sister Rena O’Dell and her husband Henry, Kingston, many nieces and nephews.

Dolores’ family would like to thank the staff at Kingston Manor for their care the past 18 months and the staff at Kingston Health Care Center for their compassionate care this past week.  There are Angels among us.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial which will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:00 am in St, Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin, PA  18702, with Father James J.
