Dolores “Dolly” Mocion, 88 of Plains Township passed away on her wedding anniversary, July 31, 2021 at the United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village Campus, Jenkins Township.

Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Veronica (Sweeda) Stachurski.

Dolly was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, and was a homemaker all of her life.  She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains, and its Mother’s Guild.

Dolly was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph “Moe” Mocion on July 17, 2017, sisters Bertha Winiewicz, Jenny Karaffa, and Sophie Wolyniec, brothers Anthony “Doc”, Stanley, and Edward “Edge” Stachurski.

Surviving are her children Joseph Mocion and his wife Lynnmarie, Laflin, Diane Rubin and her husband Jonathan, Virginia Beach, VA, and Renee Acle and her husband Dr. Alex Acle, Benton, grandchildren Alyssa, Christie, and Michael Mocion, sisters Florence Walsh, Leesbury, FLA, and Theresa Everhart, Plains, many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA  18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating.  A Live Stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page.  Inurnment will be held in the parish cemetery.  Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at church.  Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.

Memorial donations may be made to Saints Peter & Paul Church Food Pantry, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA  18705, in Dolly’s name.
