Clyde E. Dukes, 73 of Kingston, passed away Monday morning, February 6, 2023 at Kingston Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Kingston, PA.

Born in Kinston on April 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Clyde M. and Sarah L. (Dolbear) Dukes.

Clyde was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1967 and was employed as a ticket agent and baggage claim supervisor for U.S. Air until his retirement. He was a member of the Plains United Methodist Church.

Clyde was a history buff, who knew everything about the civil war. He loved country music and was the first person to cry at a sappy movies. His kids will remember his as the king of dad jokes, having the super powers of hearing a swear word from a mile away, and giving the world’s biggest hugs. He will be sadly missed by his children.

Surviving are his sons Martin Dukes and his wife Rachel, and Joshua Dukes, and his daughter Emily Dukes and her fiancé Gene, all of Pittsburgh, PA, 6 grandchildren, sisters Jane O’Connell and her husband James, Jenkins Township, and Margaret Bruno and her husband Robert, Plains, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
