Catherine L. Fischer, 89 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday evening, August 10, 2016 at Hampton House Nursing Center, Hanover Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Catherine was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (White) Yorio.

Catherine attended Wilkes-Barre Area schools and worked as a cleaning women for Dr. Brown for 20 years, until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Peter Fischer, Son Robert on June 30, 2010, Sisters Jeanette Ferraro, Theresa Buffalino, Concetta Piazza, and Lena Miller, Brothers Anthony & Frank Iorio and Guy & John Yorio.

Surviving are Her Son Peter Fischer and his wife Mary, Ashley, Granddaughters Shannon Fischer, Nicole Lenahan, and Jessica Fischer, Great-grandchildren Daniel, Kylie, Liam, and Richard, Sister Rose Parlanti and her husband Elmer, Williamsport, Nephews and Nieces.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc, 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.
