Brennan, 77 of Plains Township, passed away Thursday morning, December 10, 2020 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains Township. Born on February 15, 1943 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Louise (Stanley) Eckert. Carol was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1960 and was employed as a key-punch operator at the Social Security Administration, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Monica Parish, West Wyoming. Carol was a wonderful person who loved spending time with her husband Joe. She and Joe celebrated 55 years of marriage on September 11, 2020. Carol also loved spending time with her granddaughter, Riley, and enjoyed going to dinner and the casino with her friends. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Brennan on November 27, 2015. Surviving in addition to her husband Joe, are her granddaughter Riley, Plains, sister Joyce Tomchik and her husband John, Wilkes-Barre, brother Ronnie Eckert and his wife Lorraine, Hazleton, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 14, 2020 at St. Monica Parish, 363 W. 8th Street, West Wyoming, PA 18644, with Father Peter Tomczak, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming, PA. Family and friends may call Monday morning at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Masks and/or face coverings are required at all times at church and/or cemetery and please practice social distancing while paying your respects.
