Barbara J. Romanofski, 77 of Laflin, passed away Thursday morning, February 11, 2021 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after a courageous battle against Cancer.

Born in Luzerne, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Pauline (Wydra) Guido, Sr.

Barb was a graduate of Luzerne High School and was employed as a book keeper at Valley Distributing, until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin, where she served on various committees and would volunteer for various projects at church. Barb was also a former President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Laflin Volunteer Fire Department. To say the Barb was a Philadelphia Eagles Fan would be a huge understatement.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph J. Romanofski, Jr., on June 9, 2019.

Surviving are her son David Romanofski and his wife Lora, Philadelphia, grandchild Heather Wolfinger and her husband Jim, great-grandchildren Jessica and Jimmy Wolfinger, brothers Frank Guido and his wife Ann, Kingston, and John Guido and his wife Dureen, Kutztown, nieces and nephews Paul, Christopher, Kelly, Madison, Carter, Carly, Jessica, and Jonelle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin, PA 18702, with Father Seth Wasnock, Pastor, officiating. Private interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Family and friends are invited to a walk through visitation Tuesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at church. Due to the ongoing pandemic, restrictions have been put in place. Those attending the visitation, we ask that you be brief when paying your respects, please follow the practice of social distancing, and masks are required at all times at church. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
