Barbara A. Mosley, 84 of Bear Creek, passed away Tuesday evening, November 29, 2022 at River View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Plains Township.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (Bellas) Kijesky and the step-daughter of the late Charles McGettigan, Sr.

Barbara attended St. Michael School, Kingston, and was employed as a waitress in the food service industry until her retirement.  Barbara worked at various restaurants including The Sterling Hotel, The Host, Pocono Downs which she worked up to shop steward and lastly Sheraton Crossgates/Ramada from which she retired.

She was a member of St. Christopher Church, Bear Creek, until its closure and merger.

She was very active at St. Christopher with fundraising and running the church bazaars. She also was very active politically as she volunteered for the Democratic Party for many years. She loved spending hours in her yard gardening along with crafting and collecting Annalee Dolls. She also absolutely adored all of the animals she had over the years. (Gone but not forgotten: Snoopy, Toby, Geisha, Yum Yum, Licorice, and DaisyMae).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Gerald Mosley on June 1, 2019, and her brother Richard Owens, grandchildren RJ and Leah Cool.

Surviving are her Daughters, Dawn Rodola-Johns and her fiancé Raymond Provizzi, Wilkes-Barre and Linda Krogulski and her husband Gary, Wapwallopen, Son Robert Cool, Plains, Grandchildren, Amber Rodola (Princess) and Zachary Johns and Karissa Pavlik, Shannon Chiverella , Great-Grandchildren, Princess Grace Pavlik and Logan Pavlik, Jonathan and Ashley Kennedy, Christyan and Daniel Chiverella, Tyler and Julia Suaerwine, and Brayden Rucker , brothers David McGettigan, Connecticut, and Charles McGettigan, Jr., New Jersey, sisters Donna Thomas, Florida, and Shirley Pearson, North Carolina, numerous nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.
