Arthur R. Fanelli, Jr., 64 of Dunmore and formerly of Plains Township, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning, October 24, 2018 at his home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Arthur R. and Rose M. (Pisano) Fanelli.

Art was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, and was employed as a grocery clerk for ACME Markets for 38 years, and last for Giant Markets, where he was Assistant Manager of the Produce Department.

Art was a High School Basketball Referee and was a grade school basketball coach at Saints Peter & Paul School, Plains. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys, enjoyed going to the casino, and loved going to the beach in his spare time.

Surviving are his sons Jarrod Fanelli and his wife Jennifer, and Justin Fanelli, all of Plains, 3 grandchildren, Partner and Best Friend Patricia Cucura, Dunmore, and sister Michelle Kline and her husband Ronald, Rochester Hills, Michigan.

Funeral Services for Art will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Interment will be held in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming. Family and friends may call Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
