Arionna L. Merrick, 17 of Kingston and Nanticoke, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 30, 2021.

Born on May 5, 2004 in Mercy Hospital in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of George J. Merrick, Jr. of Nanticoke and Suzanne Gibson of Kingston.

Arionna was currently in her Senior Year at Greater Nanticoke Area High School, where she excelled at soccer and track. Arionna was a loving daughter and big sister. With unparalleled generosity, she always put others before herself. She had a love for music, art, animals and cosmetology. Her aspirations included jewelry making, music writing and singing. Her magnetizing presence made everyone smile and she will be greatly and forever missed.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents George and Joan (Mangan) Merrick, Sr., and maternal grandparents James and Angela Diana.

Surviving are her father, George J. Merrick, Jr., Nanticoke, mother Suzanne Gibson and her husband Jettie Gibson, Kingston; she was a loving big sister to Isobella Merrick, and twin brothers Elias and Adriel Gibson and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Faustina Kowalska Parish, 520 S. Hanover Street, Nanticoke, PA 18634, with Father Brian Van Fossen, Pastor, officiating. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
