Obituaries » Antoinette Stec (Mussynski) August 17, 1942 - September 16, 2016 Service Date: September 20, 2016 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Cemetery Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery Church Saints Peter and Paul Church Antoinette Stec, 74 of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday morning, September 16, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle against Cancer. Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Watson and Isabel (Falchek) Mussynski. Antoinette was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, and was employed as a clerk typist at the Luzerne County Court House, Wilkes-Barre. A woman of great faith, Antoinette was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains, where she served as an Eucharistic Minister, was involved with the church’s food pantry, and The Knitter’s Club at Saints Peter & Paul where she would knit the prayer shawl’s for parishioners. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and volunteered at John Heinz Rehab Center, and St. Vincent DePaul Kitchen, both of Wilkes-Barre. She and her husband Joseph Stec, celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on February 14, 2016. Surviving in addition to her husband Joe are her brother Stanley Mussynski and his wife Jackie, Santa Clara, CA, step-children Ann Marie Barcheski and her husband Walter, Centermoreland, Joseph Stec, Jr. and his wife Shirl, Dallas, Mary Stec, Mountain Top, and Patricia Zisko and her husband Brian, Rhode Island, step-grandchildren Renee Barcheski, Joseph Stec, III, Jana Stec, Ryan Gilmartin and Kevin and Allison Zisko, nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 9:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Plains. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
