Obituaries » Anthony W. Wilk June 8, 2014 Anthony W. Wilk 72, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday afternoon at Geisinger Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Lesczynski) Wilk. Tony attended SS. Peter & Paul Elementary school and was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, class of 1960. Tony was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Tony was employed for Plains Manufacturing for many years and Nabisco Corporation and last for Social Security in Plains. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church Plains and a long time member of the choir. Tony was member of the Plains American Legion, Joseph E. Conlon Post 558, the Polish American Veterans Association, the Polish Club and the Carpatho Russian Citizens Club, Plains. He is preceded in death by his brothers; Stanley, Edward and Walter Wilk. Surviving is his Wife of 45 years Margaret (Kislow) Wilk; Daughter, Donna Wilk, Dallas, Pa., Sons, Joseph Wilk, at home and Tony Wilk and his Wife Krissie, Sacramento, California; Brother John Wilk and his Wife Christine, Wilkes-Barre; several Nephews and Nieces. Funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc. 20 South Main Street Plains, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in SS. Peter & Paul Church, Plains. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery, Plains. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8pm. Memorial donations if desired may be made to SS.
