“It Takes a Big Heart to Help Shape Little Minds”

Annette Bieda, 62 of Fulshear, Texas and McNeill Elementary School passed away May 18, 2022 at Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital in Katy Texas.

They say some people were “born to teach”.

Annette aka “Ms. Bieda” was such a person. For Annette, teaching was both her ‘calling’ and a true passion. Each and every child became part of her “family” along with her many beloved cats and her dog Cheyenne 🙂 Annette devoted her life inspiring and encouraging her “family” of students to think, to be curious, to learn, to embrace the pursuit of knowledge and, as such, to better themselves.

Annette was born May 7, 1960 in Kingston PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Charmaine (Lewis) Bieda

She attended Luzerne Community College in Nanticoke, and graduated from Penn State University in 1982 with a degree Elementary Education. She earned a Masters of Education from St. Thomas University in 1994.

Annette spent most of her teaching career in the Greater Houston area including Burton Elementary, Kate Bell Elementary, Horn Academy, Bowie Elementary and the last 14 years at McNeill Elementary. Annette also taught abroad for 5 years as a “Sensei” in Yokosuka, Japan. While living in Japan, Annette took the opportunity to travel. While visiting and exploring Korea, Indonesia, and China among other countries, Annette gained a lifelong appreciation of Asian cultures.

In addition to her parents John and Charmaine, Annette was preceded in death by her sister Charlene.

She is survived by sister Bobbi Ann Dwyer & brother-in-law Robert Dwyer of Kingston, nieces Michelle Pushefski Santos and husband Brian Santos of Laflin, and Madeleine Dwyer of Troy, NY. In addition, Annette is survived by numerous cousins, Aunt Ann Hankey and Aunt Victoria Stone.

The family would like to express a special Thank You to Karen Tedder and her family for all their support during this most difficult time.

Also, a special Thank You to all of Annette’s McNeill Elementary Family.

Funeral Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc. 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial contribution can be made to McNeil Elementary School at 7300 S Mason Road, Richmond, TX 77407 or to the Lexington Boulevard Animal Hospital Contact # 281-980-3737 for information to donate.
