Anne B. Nixon, 59 of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 6, 2015, at her home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Elinor A. (Kane) Perry of Parsons and the late Willard D. Perry, Sr.

Anne was a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, class of 1974, and was employed for Aramark Food Service at Wyoming Valley West High School. She was a member of St. Benedict’s Parish, Parsons, where she was a Eucharistic Minister.

She was preceded in death by her sister Eileen O’Brien.

Surviving in addition to her mother Elinor are her husband James M. Nixon, her son James P. Nixon, a Senior at King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, sisters Joan George and M. Patrice Perry, both of Parsons, brothers Thomas J. Perry and his wife Linda, Plainfield, New Jersey, Michael Perry and his wife Tracy, Tamaqua, and Willard D. Perry, Jr., and his wife Michelle, Wyoming, many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Benedict’s Parish, St. Dominic’s Church, 155 Austin Avenue Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, with Father Joseph A. Kearney, pastor, officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to church Thursday morning. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Anne’s name.
