Obituaries » Ann Marie (Rhea) McGraw (Cawley) May 17, 1954 - May 7, 2018 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Ann Marie (Rhea) Cawley McGraw of the East End section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Monday evening, May 7, 2018 at home surrounded by all the members of her loving family, after a six month courageous battle with stomach cancer. Ann Marie was the daughter of the late Harold and Anna T. (Stubbs) Cawley of Wilkes-Barre, and was preceded in death by her brother Edward “Ned” Cawley in 2011. Ann Marie was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, class of 1972. She began her career with the Housing of Urban Development during the Agnes Flood of 1972. Afterward while raising her children Danielle and Timothy McGraw, she pursued a career as a CNA, working first at Little Flower Manor, then Valley Crest Nursing Facility, retiring from the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre. Ann Marie also provided her CNA experience with private duty care for those in need. She was the Rock of her family, an excellent cook, crafter, handy man and provider all while working full time. She was a member of the Plains American Legion, Joseph E. Conlon, Post 558 and the Black Diamond American Legion, Post 395, Kingston, participating and volunteering in various activities specifically for veterans. She will be forever missed by her husband of 45 years, Timothy McGraw, Sr., children Danielle Smith (Joel), and Timothy McGraw, Jr., (Tonya Smigiel), grandchildren Brittany McGraw, Kayley and Abbey Smith, Leah McGraw, Claire and Daniel Horgan, brother Harold Cawley and his wife Ann, sister and best friend Ellen Liparula, nephew and Godson Frank Liparula, niece Erin Cawley Kingsley, great nieces and nephews. The McGraw, Liparula, and Cawley families would like to thank the entire nursing staff of the fourth floor of WBGH, especially Michelle Rojo, RN, for their kind and loving care during Ann Marie’s hospital stay, Msrg. John Sempa who provided spiritual support during this time of need, the staff of the Kingston Medical Oncology Associates and the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Karen, Sara, and Sue. A very special heartfelt thank you to Dr. James Juinta, D.O. for always being available for Ann Marie and her family, providing professional kindness, compassion, and honesty throughout her course of illness. Private funeral arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
