Ann M. Presciutti, 92 of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, departed this earth Monday morning, April 3, 2017 from Mercy Center, Dallas.

Born in the Old Boston section of Jenkins Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Raefulucia (DeStefano) Nardone.

Ann attended Jenkins Township High School, was employed in the garment industry, and was a housewife and homemaker all of her life.

She was a lifelong resident of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre and a member of St. Benedict’s Parish and the Parsons Women’s Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Naz Presciutti, and by sisters Yolanda “Ci Ci Ya Ya” Tancredi and Victoria Nardone, and brothers Alexander “Sandry,” Joseph, Frank, Samuel “Mike” and Victor Nardone.

Surviving are her daughter Dr. Jean Steelman, Shavertown, son Ralph Presciutti and his wife Laura, Downingtown, PA; grandchildren, Dr. Scott Steelman and his wife Lori, Wilmington, MA; Jeffrey Steelman his wife Gretchen and great-granddaughter Adriana, Knightdale, NC; Dr. Steven Presciutti his wife Maura and great-grandchildren Max and Isla, Decatur, GA; and Austin Whitney, Austin, TX. Also surviving are sister Marguerite Aquilina and her husband Tony, Dupont; sister-in-law Norma Nardone, Plains; several nieces and nephews.

Ann loved her family above all else. Her greatest joy was in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a kind and generous neighbor and friend, known by her Parsons neighbors for her cookie-baking. One of her fondest activities over the years was playing canasta with her longstanding and dear friends. The family wishes to acknowledge and extend gratitude to the Sisters of Mercy and the nursing staff of both the assisted-living and nursing units at Mercy Center for their loving and devoted care.

Funeral services for Ann will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Benedict’s Parish/St. Dominic’s Church, 155 Austin Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA, with Father Joseph A. Kearney, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at St. Benedict’s Parish.
