Molitoris, 91 of Plains Township, passed away Saturday evening, May 11, 2024 at The Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas, PA. Born on January 4, 1933 in Duryea, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary E. (Wasta) Molitoris. Andy was a graduate of Duryea High School, Class of 1951. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, attaining the rank of Aviation Electronics Technician 1st Class (AT1). Upon his honorable discharge from active service in 1955, he attended Wilkes College and was employed as a computer technician at IBM retiring in 1983. He was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains. Andy was very gifted with his hands and could fix anything from computers to washing machines to cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Mark Molitoris on May 3, 2017. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former Irma Bianconi, Plains, son Michael Molitoris and his wife Dr. Sandra Pensieri, Plains, grandchildren Christopher Molitoris and his wife Katie, Atty. Ryan Molitoris and his wife Sara, Dr. Michael Molitoris and his wife Dr. Brittany Kuperavage, Atty. Lee Molitoris and his wife Dr. Geralyn Cross, Megan Gilmore and her husband Greg, and Atty. Stephen Molitoris, great-grandchildren Luke, Logan, Benjamin, Theodore, Finnegan, and Seamus, daughter-in-law Lynn Molitoris, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A live stream of the funeral mass will be on the parish FACEBOOK page. Interment with military honors accorded by the United States Navy and the Plains American Legion Joseph E. Conlon, Post 558 Funeral Honors Detail will be held in the parish cemetery, Plains. Family and friends may call Thursday morning at church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass Thursday morning.
