Andrea Koury

Andrea Koury, 49 of West Pittston, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2023 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born on April 16, 1974 in Bear Creek, she was the daughter of Sarah (Burke) Koury of Summerfield, Florida, and the late Michael P. Koury.

Andrea was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1992, and Pennsylvania State University.

She was employed as a real estate appraiser at Oracle Appraisals, West Pittston.

Andrea was an avid Miami Dolphin fan. She also had a special love of all animals. Andrea aspired for world peace. Her motto was always “One Love”

In addition to her father Michael, she was preceded in death by her son Coury Bainbridge, and her brother Keith Koury.

Surviving in addition to her mother Sarah, are her twin sons Keevan and Keith Carey, West Pittston, sisters Michelle Rogan and her husband Ned, Wilkes-Barre, and Colleen Youtsey and her husband Scott,  Gainesville, GA, brother Mark Koury and his wife Sharon, Clemont, Florida, nieces and nephews.

Andrea’s family is thankful that she was able to be an organ donor and give the gift of life to others.

Funeral services for Andrea will be private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.
