Obituaries » Agnes A. Norosky October 4, 2014 Agnes A. Norosky, 65, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Saturday evening October 4, 2014, at Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South following a lengthy illness. Born January 6, 1949, in Starrucca, Pa. Agi was the daughter of Michael and Ann Wnorosky. She was a graduate of Hancock High School in New York and furthered her education by taking college courses and acquiring numerous certificates in Medical Billing. She was also a member of Mensa International. Agi recently retired from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, after serving 46 years as the Lab Billing Coordinator, where she was instrumental in the development of the Lab Billing Department. Everyone who knew and worked with Agi knew her door was always open and she was more than willing to share her expertise with anyone who needed her assistance. Agi was an accomplished artist, enjoyed traveling, bowling and going to the casino with her friends. Surviving is her goddaughter Rachelle Siley, Brandon Siley, close friends Eileen Swigonski, Sandy and Smiler Hughes, Marilyn and Joseph Grous, Lana MacGowan, and her cousin Carol Hurley, who were all at Agi’s side for comfort during her illness. She is also survived by a brother, Mike Norosky and his family, of Mt. Pleasant.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Hope Church, 40 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre.
